In order to enhance the security of our university's corporate email accounts (staff email/ @balikesir.edu.tr), a two-factor authentication (2FA) application has been implemented.
The 2FA system enables login with a one-time verification code generated on a mobile device in addition to a username and password. This method protects account security even if the password is compromised.

Since two-factor authentication will become mandatory as of March 2, 2026, accounts that have not activated two-factor authentication by that date will remain inaccessible. Any issues encountered should be reported via the support form (destek.balikesir.edu.tr).
