In the process of remote access to library electronic resources, you no longer need to make manual proxy settings. You can easily establish a connection by downloading the required file through the new system.
For Windows Operating System
To access remotely, download a .You need to download the .exe file.
Download the file via the relevant link.
Run the .exe file you downloaded.
T on the pop-up screen.C. Log in with your ID number and corporate internet password.
After this process, your remote connection will be activated.
Your browser may give a warning in this way when downloading the Exe File.
Steps that Need to be Taken;
Access via Browser Extension (Windows and MacOS)
1️⃣ Download the Extension
Download the BAUN Remote Access extension for your Google Chrome browser.
(Extension file .It is in zip format.)
2️⃣ Install on Chrome
Extract the downloaded .zip file to a folder.
In your browser's address bar, type chrome://extensions.
Enable Developer mode from the top right corner.
Click the "Install unpacked item" button and select the extracted folder.
3️⃣ Connect
Click on the plugin icon that appears in the browser toolbar.
T.C. Enter your ID number and password.
Press the Connect button.
Once the connection is established, you can access the databases we subscribe to directly.
For macOS Users
Only the browser plugin method can be used on the Mac operating system.
For Those Who Don't Use Chrome (Manual Proxy Setup)
You can connect by entering the following information in your browser's proxy settings:
Server: proxy.balikesir.edu.tr
Port: 3128
Username: T.C. Your ID Number
Password: Your corporate password
Alternatively, you can also provide a link by downloading a PAC file
